Sacha Alanoca

Sacha Alanoca is an AI Governance PhD researcher at Stanford University. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, where she was a John F. Kennedy Fellow. Previously, Sacha worked on pioneering AI governance initiatives, including the AI Act at the European Commission, and contributed to international AI cooperation as an expert for the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI) and the OECD AI Policy Observatory (OECD.AI). She recently co-authored an ACM FAccT paper on the global landscape of AI regulation—one of the first meta-analyses comparing AI regulatory frameworks in the European Union, United States, China, Canada, and Brazil. Sacha was named one of the “100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics” in 2022 and the most “Disruptive Woman in Tech” in America in 2023. She is Franco-Chilean.
