Professor Dr. Boris P. Paal, M.Jur. (Oxford) is a fully qualified lawyer and Full Professor (with tenure). His research and teaching focus on the implications and regulatory issues of digital transformation, particularly concerning the digital and data economy, as well as the legal framework for cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Professor Paal is the editor and author of leading commentaries and ground-breaking publications on all areas of the law and regulation of digital transformation. As an accomplished legal scholar, he is responsible for more than 250 publications, including leading books on Information, Media, and Data (Protection) Law. He is also a member of several advisory boards and serves as an expert to the EU Commission, German Parliament, Humboldt Foundation, Leibniz Institute for Media Research, EUMETSAT.
