About the IAPP

Dr. Karolina Gałęzowska is an attorney specializing in data protection law. She currently serves as a Data Protection Assistant at eu-LISA. Prior to joining the Agency, she accumulated over 10 years of experience in the private sector, where she advised clients across diverse industries—including banking, telecommunications, technology, and public institutions—on compliance with personal data protection regulations. During this time, she also served for several years as a DPO. Dr. Gałęzowska holds a PhD from the University of Warsaw and an LL.M. from Maastricht University. She was a finalist in the Wolters Kluwer Legal Rising Star 2024 competition and has authored numerous publications on personal data protection.
