About the IAPP

Dr. Amit Datta studied law in Münster and Zaragoza. He completed his legal clerkship in Berlin and London, incl. at the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and Goldman Sachs. In 2016, he received his doctorate from the Humboldt University of Berlin with a thesis on comparative copyright law. Amit worked from 2017 - 2024 as a lawyer in Berlin at the law firm Hengeler Mueller and in Chicago at the law firm Barnes & Thornburg. He joined Aleph Alpha in 2024 as Associate General Counsel, where he is responsible in particular for IP/IT, product compliance and regulatory matters.
