Associate Director - Responsible AI

Chris Meehleib is a data privacy and AI governance expert operating at the intersection of legal frameworks, technical engineering, and business strategy. He currently serves as an Associate Director of Responsible AI for UnitedHealth Group.

Prior to joining UnitedHealth, he served as an Enterprise Privacy and Security Officer at Centene Corporation, advising business and technical executives on privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging AI risks and regulations.

Chris draws on more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, working with major organizations including Humana, CVS Health, and large hospital systems across data analytics, IT strategy, data governance, and regulatory compliance. This breadth of experience gives him a unique multidisciplinary lens on digital risk and responsible innovation.

A dedicated educator, he shares his passion for digital responsibility as a Professor of Practice in the Artificial Intelligence (MS) graduate program at Concordia University, St. Paul, and as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

He holds a J.D. with Health Law and Healthcare Compliance certificates from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business.

Additionally, he is certified by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) in healthcare compliance (CHC) and healthcare privacy compliance (CHPC) and is recognized by the IAPP as a Fellow of Information Privacy.
