About the IAPP

Travis Walker is a Partner practicing in the data privacy and cybersecurity group at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. Travis acts as external privacy and "breach coach" counsel to clients from a diverse range of industries in relation to all manner of data and privacy breaches. He guides clients through each phase of the breach response and remediation life cycles, including restoration of data systems, retention of forensic experts, notification to affected individuals and stakeholders, and reporting to regulatory authorities.

Travis also works with organizations to enhance their pre-incident and overall security posture by creating new or modifying existing incident response plans and procedures. Travis consults with incident response teams, executives, and boards to conduct interactive workshops and tabletop exercises to educate and coach organizational stakeholders on best practices for incident response and improving plans, policies and procedures.

In his general privacy practice, Travis helps organizations establish and refine privacy and data governance policies to ensure compliance with a broader range of regulatory requirements.
